It’s Mrs. Garrison; I’m so excited to be your science teacher this year! Welcome back to school :)

We will begin school this week on Tuesday, July 28th. Eventually we will work on your classes following A and B days, but for the first 5 days of school you, your family, and I will be making sure we learn how to use Canvas to make distance learning a success. You should go in to each of your courses 1-6 every day this week and complete the assignments you see.

Our schedules are still being finalized in Powerschool, so please don’t worry about anything there and focus on your classes you can see in Canvas. You may not see me listed as your teacher in Powerschool yet, but we will get that all sorted out. I will be your Applied Science teacher! I am excited to work with you and teach you all kinds of cool Science stuff!

After you follow the instructions below to log in to Canvas, please view my Welcome Message, Open House Video, and Class tour located on my Bio Page if you have not been able to do so already.

1. Log in to Canvas:

• Go to the school’s webpage and Click on Canvas Log-In at the very top of the page.

• Type in your username: *Located on your Report Card

• Your password is: Clover2020

• Click on the icon with a red circle that reads CANVAS.

2. Select Applied Science from your Dashboard. This will take you to our class.

3. Please begin to establish a routine to always check your INBOX first before doing anything. You should see a red circle with a number notification by the envelope if you have any unread messages. Check to see if you have any messages and read them if you do.

4. After, you should click on the ANNOUNCEMENTS tab.

There will be an announcement every day from me. The announcement will tell you exactly what to do each day and everything will be linked to it. Remember every assignment for each day this week will be included on the announcement for the day. If you don’t know what to do next- go back to the announcements tab and click on the announcement for the day.

I will send a message to you at the start of every week, usually by first thing Monday morning or on Sundays J to talk about our week ahead.

These messages will be in your inbox of your email, your inbox of Canvas, and posted on my website to reference at any time.
